Bulldog Redemption

We wanted to take a moment to address some of the recent behaviors.

We realize that during the last couple of weeks you’ve witnessed some tensions among the student body. One incident, in particular, stood out from the rest. These tensions led to increased concerns among parents, students, staff, and administration. It is times like these where we need to remember what Braddock Pride truly represents.

To all the students who recorded these incidents: Was the marketing of these incidents really worth the 20 likes on your priv? Understandably there will always be certain types of people determined to cause conflict. It is up to us, the Braddock Bulldog Family, to NOT ENGAGE. If we stop recording negative incidents, glorifying them, and sensationalizing them; the nonsense will stop. We can stop creating a forum where actions like this are accepted. We can continue being who we’re supposed to be; the Pride of the Bulldog Nation.

To the administration: We want you to know that the majority of the student body is equally disgusted by these negative incidents that impact our Bulldog reputation. We know that negative publicity impacts how we, as a school, are perceived and understand that the struggle is real. We hope, that in spite of these negative incidents that you remember who we, the student body, really are; Bulldogs who take pride in making G. Holmes Braddock SHS a magnificent destination.

Allow us, the student body, to remind you. We are a progressive student body. One that has the privilege of being its own little melting pot. One that does not form weakness in its divisions, but rather forms a unity in its diversity. One that prides itself on its moral compass. One that strives to represent the Bulldog Nation in the most positive ways possible. One that will not tolerate the actions of the few who taint our image. They do not define us. Rather, make us stronger and more determined to build a stronger Bulldog Nation!
